Product Description

Make your own chocolate coins with the John Adams Golden Coin Maker. The set takes children through the complete process of melting chocolate, forming it into coins, wrapping the finished chocolates in golden foil and stamping designs onto both sides.

The chocolate melter uses warm tap water rather than electrical heating. Add your own chocolate buttons or small pieces of chocolate to the melting unit, stir until smooth and transfer the melted chocolate into the supplied coin moulds. Moulding lids press the chocolate into shape before the coins are chilled until set. Chocolate is not included with the set.

Once the chocolate coins have set, the Golden Coin Maker is also used to prepare and apply the foil. Golden foil sheets are supplied with the kit and the machine includes a foil cutting section. The chocolate coin remains inside its moulding ring while the foil is pressed around it, allowing both sides to be wrapped before embossing.

The set includes 6 double sided embossing discs. The instruction manual identifies 11 ready made designs plus 1 blank face, giving 12 embossing choices in total. The blank face can be marked using the supplied scribing tool to create an individual picture or message.

To stamp a finished coin, one embossing design is positioned beneath the wrapped chocolate coin and another is positioned above it. The coin is placed into the embossing section and the handle is turned to press the designs into the foil on both sides.

Golden net bags and thread are also supplied so finished chocolate coins can be gathered together after making and decorating them. The machine is manually operated and does not require batteries.

The Golden Coin Maker is suitable from 6 years and is intended to be used with adult supervision. The manufacturer also instructs users to work on a clean surface, follow the supplied instructions and thoroughly clean the parts that come into contact with chocolate.
