X-Shot Excel, Skins and Insanity
X-Shot Excel includes blasters such as the Turbo Fire with a 20 dart rotating barrel and the Crusher with a 35 dart belt. The Hawk Eye has a detachable scope and can fire darts up to 27m. ZURU also uses Slam Fire on Excel blasters including the Turbo Fire and Crusher.
X-Shot Skins blasters have printed graphics across the blaster body. The Flux holds one dart ready to fire with storage for two more, the Griefer has a six dart rotating barrel and the Dread has two rotating barrels holding 12 darts in total.
X-Shot Insanity includes the Motorized Rage Fire, Mad Mega Barrel, Berzerko, Manic and Micro. The Rage Fire uses a 40 dart belt and sits on a rotating tripod, while the Mad Mega Barrel has a 72 dart barrel. ZURU also allows several Insanity blasters to connect together.
X-Shot Darts and Refills
Many X-Shot Excel, Skins and Insanity blasters use Air Pocket Technology foam darts. X-Shot Pro Series blasters can use different darts. The Fury-X uses half length Air Pocket Technology darts, while the Pro Series Longshot accepts both full length and half length darts.
X-Shot Hyper Gel blasters do not use foam darts. They fire Hyper Gel pellets that are soaked in water before use. Standard X-Shot foam darts and Hyper Gel pellets are different products and cannot be used in place of each other.
X-Shot Firing Distance and Dart Capacity
Firing distance depends on the blaster. ZURU lists the Excel Hawk Eye, Turbo Fire and Crusher at up to 27m. The Insanity Motorized Rage Fire is also listed at up to 27m, while the Insanity Mad Mega Barrel and Manic are listed at up to 30m.
The number of darts held by each blaster also differs. The Skins Flux holds one dart ready to fire, the Excel Turbo Fire has a 20 dart barrel, the Insanity Rage Fire uses a 40 dart belt and the Mad Mega Barrel has a 72 dart barrel.
X-Shot Age and Safety
The X-Shot Excel Turbo Fire is sold for ages 8+. ZURU also makes higher performance Pro Series blasters, including a 14+ version of the Skins Pro Series Fury-X. Check the minimum age printed for the exact X-Shot blaster before ordering.
X-Shot Hyper Gel blasters are supplied with protective eyewear. Follow the warning and safety instructions supplied with the exact X-Shot blaster, darts or Hyper Gel pellets being used.

Do all X-Shot blasters use the same darts?
