Do LeapStart books work with LeapReader?

No. LeapFrog states that LeapStart and LeapReader are separate systems. LeapStart books only work with LeapStart devices.

Do LeapStart systems need the internet to set up?

Yes. LeapFrog requires you to install LeapFrog Connect on a computer with an internet connection to download the audio for each book before use.

Do some VTech toys come with demo batteries?

Yes. Many VTech toys include demo batteries for in store testing only. VTech manuals advise replacing these with fresh batteries for normal play.
