Helmets

Kids Helmets Ireland

Our kids helmets collection includes a range of styles and sizes suitable for everyday biking, skating and scooting. These helmets feature hard outer shells, internal padding and adjustable straps, which are the standard elements used to help achieve a stable and comfortable fit. Designs include bright colours and licensed character themes, giving children options that match their preferences while encouraging regular helmet use.

Helmet sizes in this collection are based on head circumference measurements such as 48 to 52 cm or 52 to 56 cm. Measuring around the forehead gives the most accurate guide before choosing a size. Helmets should sit level on the head, cover the forehead and be worn with the chin strap adjusted so the helmet stays secure. These products are intended for general recreational use in home areas, paths and parks and are not designed for motor use or high speed cycling.

Kids Helmets FAQ

How do I measure my child for a helmet

Use a soft tape to measure around the forehead just above the eyebrows. Match this measurement to the helmet size range shown in centimetres.

What is a correct helmet fit

A helmet should sit level on the head, rest low on the forehead and feel snug without pressure points. The chin strap should be adjusted so only one or two fingers can fit between the strap and the chin.

Should a helmet be replaced after a fall

If a helmet has taken a hard impact it should be replaced, as the internal foam may be damaged even if the outside looks normal. This is standard safety advice across child helmet guidelines.

What activities are these helmets suitable for

These helmets are suitable for recreational biking, skating and scooting in parks, paths and home areas. They are not intended for motorised use or high speed cycling.
