PAW Patrol The Dino Movie is now showing in Irish cinemas, with screenings in Ireland beginning on 5 August 2026. The new story sends the pups to a tropical island filled with dinosaurs, brings Rex back as the team's dinosaur expert and gives Mayor Humdinger another problem of his own making when his mining causes a dormant volcano to erupt.

The film has also introduced a new set of PAW Patrol vehicles, figures and playsets based on the island, dinosaurs and rescue equipment seen in the story. The PAW Patrol toys collection at ToyTown.ie brings the Dino Movie toys together with other PAW Patrol vehicles, figures and playsets.

What Happens in PAW Patrol The Dino Movie?

The PAW Patrol pups are travelling by ship when they are caught in a mysterious storm and end up on an uncharted tropical island filled with dinosaurs. There they meet Rex, who has been stranded on the island for years and has become an expert on its dinosaurs.

Mayor Humdinger begins mining the island in an attempt to exploit its natural resources. His mining causes a huge dormant volcano to erupt, leaving Ryder and the pups with a series of dinosaur rescues as they try to stop Humdinger before everything on the island goes extinct.

The island and volcano are more than background locations for the film. Both appear directly in the toys made for The Dino Movie, including the Dino Mobile Headquarters and Super Lava Blast Playset.

Rex Returns for PAW Patrol The Dino Movie

Rex is the PAW Patrol's dinosaur expert. The official PAW Patrol site describes him as an inventor and builder who constructed a treehouse after being shipwrecked on Dino Island. Rex uses a wheelchair for his back legs.

By the time the other pups reach the island in The Dino Movie, Rex has already been there for years and knows the dinosaurs that live there.

Rocky and Zuma's Dino Movie Vehicles

Rocky's Dino Rescue Recycler uses a front claw for picking up dinosaur figures, while a compartment opens at the back of the vehicle. The set includes Rocky and a small dinosaur figure.

Zuma's Dino Rescue Hovercraft has an extending rescue claw operated by pressing the fin at the back. Zuma sits in the driver's seat and the included dinosaur figure can travel behind him.

Dino Mobile Headquarters

The PAW Patrol The Dino Movie Dino Mobile Headquarters Playset combines a large vehicle with the team's headquarters from the film.

The headquarters section detaches and lifts into position to turn the vehicle into the command centre. The set includes Chase, his vehicle and a ramp launcher, along with lights and sounds.

Megasaurus Dino Vehicle

The PAW Patrol The Dino Movie Megasaurus Dino Vehicle starts with Rocky's recycling truck. Pressing the light bar releases a two-foot inflatable dinosaur from inside the vehicle.

The dinosaur can be packed back into the truck and inflated again, and the vehicle also plays sounds from the film.

Super Lava Blast Playset

The Super Lava Blast Playset is based on the volcano that drives the main emergency in the film.

Pressing the control on the front of the volcano starts an eruption with lights, sounds and moving lava particles. A hidden waterfall folds out to create another route through the playset, Marshall can climb the volcano, and Rhubarb travels down the ramp in the included golf cart.
